PTFCA Carnival - Girls' Distance Preview
The mile looks to be deep and should push a number of girls to state-qualifying territory. The favorites include Cedar Crest's Gwyneth Young, Wilson's Caryn Rippey, Elizabethtown's Katie Locker, Gwynedd Mercy's Kelly Murray, State College's Marlee Kwasnica, and Red Lion's Kiersten Lloyd, among others.
Expect a good one in the 800 meters with Radnor's Keara Seasholtz (PA#5) entering as the one to beat. PA#7 Mckenna Brophy, Wissahickon's Maddy Hippensteal, Boiling Springs' Peyton Ellis, and Locker should also mix it up near the front.
The 3K should be a good one as well with Young and Rippey slated to double back. Warrior Run's Lauren Trapani will come in fresh and should battle for the win up front. Maggie Murphy of Mount Saint Joseph, Madeline Quinn of E-Town, and Jordan Reed of State College are also in this strong field.
