Millrose Will Be Packed With Pennsylvania Talent

Boys Pole Vault (Thursday, 6:00 P.M.)

Rogers took down the all-time Pennsylvania state record a few weeks ago down south in Virginia. Now he heads north to New York City, where he will chase the 17-foot bar once again. Rogers cleared 17-0.25 to win the VA Showcase and currently sits at US No. 3 entering Thursday night (the boys pole vault and weight throw competitions are contested on Thursday as opposed to Saturday for all other Millrose events).

Neither of the two boys in the US that have vaulted higher than Rogers are entered for Thursday, so he comes in as the top seed and the one to beat. But Jack Mann of Texas, Alon Rogow of Georgia, and Anthony Meacham will be great competition for Rogers. Both Mann and Rogow have cleared 16-6.75 this season, while Meacham has gotten over 16-6.

This is going to be a great battle, and the best competition Rogers has seen all season.
