Central Bucks West's Carter Fitzgerald turned in a big solo effort at Thursday's Jim Kelly Invitational at Hatboro Horsham. The Central Bucks West senior dropped a 1:52 in the 800 meters to take the win.
Fitzgerald went right to the front and only extended his lead from there to claim the victory. The time moves him up to PA No. 2 on the season, trailing only Gary Martin, who ran 1:49 a week earlier.
It's been a big start to the season for Fitzgerald, who is also PA No. 1 in the 400 meters, after an F.A.T. time of 48.46 from a dual meet last week.
