Last year Kate Korty (Forest City) finished third at the state meet as a freshman. The sophomore is now ranked in the top slot for PIAA 1A based on her time at Hershey.
Grace Neubert (Elk County Catholic), Alexis Abbett (Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh), and Kate Moncavage (Southern Columbia Area) occupy the two through four spots, respectively. At last year's state championship, the trio crossed the line within two seconds.
All four are ranked among the top 100 returners statewide.
