Madison Brown won the Spring-Ford 2 Mile Scrimmage in an impressive 12:00. Brown led wire-to-wire in the effort and opened her season with a win. She crossed the line 26 seconds ahead of the next finisher and lifted her team to a second-place finish.
With her time, she currently leads the state rankings in the 2 Mile race distance, and her time would be comparable to an 18:40 had her race been a full 5k. With that impressive opener, Brown sets her season sights on more wins down the line.
Anthony Engle also won the Spring-Ford 2 Mile Scrimmage on the boy's side of action. He ran to the tune of a 10:27 2-Mile, towing his teammate with him. Twin Valley completed the 1-2-3 sweep at the scrimmage, largely thanks to Engle's front running.
Twin Valley would also win the team race, posting a dominating 20-point victory. He also holds the state leading time in the 2 Mile race distance as of this writing.
