Pennsylvanians Competing at USATF U20s


Pennsylvania High Schoolers and Alumni are taking the trip to Eugene to compete at the USATF U20 Championship this weekend. Here is all you need to know about who is attending and when they'll be competing. - Photo by Liv Ekpone

Avery Lewis - Women's Long Jump & 100m

  • U20 Women's Long Jump - Saturday (7/8) at 3:05 pm EST

The Friends' Central rising senior is set to compete in two events this weekend. She is coming off a Runner-Up finish in the 100m and a Championship in the Long Jump at New Balance Nationals Outdoor. She recently earned Pennsylvania Gatorade T&F AOTY Honors.

Laila Campbell - Women's 100m & 200m

Campbell won the New Balance Nationals Outdoor title in the 100m a couple of weeks ago. Earlier this season she won State Championships in the 100m and 200m. She is in a stout field, but will be one of the best High Schoolers competing this weekend.

CJ Singleton - Men's 3000m Steeplechase

The former Butler Standout will represent Notre Dame in the 3000m Steeplechase at the U20 Championship. He ran 8:43.85 at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships this year - placing sixth. He then went on to place 14th at the NCAA East Prelims.

Justin Rogers - Men's Pole Vault

The Pole Vault State Record Holder will represent the University of Virginia in Eugene. He is the defending USATF U20 Champion, after having won last year with his vault of 17-2.75. His best jump this outdoor season thus far was a 16-4.75 that he jumped at the Virginia Challenge. He finished seventh at the ACC Championships.

Evelyn Bliss - Women's Javelin

Bliss made history when she launched a throw of 170-02 at the PIAA 2A State Championship meet. That moved her up to US No. 2 amongst the High School ranks. She enters this meet as the top high schooler in the field, amongst several collegiate talents.

Brylee Tereska - Women's Javelin

The former Liberty High School standout will represent Bucknell University in Eugene. She threw her personal best of 151-0.5 earlier this year and is primed for another strong showing this weekend.

Audrey Friedman - Women's Javelin

Audrey Friedman won the Outdoor State Championship in 2022. She then went off to Penn State where she has enjoyed a strong start to her collegiate career. She finished ninth at the Big Ten Championships, just off the podium. She sports a season best throw of 151-9

Peter Bellomo - Men's Javelin

Peter Bellomo followed up a State Championship performance by winning the Title at New Balance Nationals. The Lock Haven University commit has thrown a personal best of 214-3 at the PIAA State Championship, and is poised to represent the State of Pennsylvania yet again this weekend.

Sanaa Hebron - Women's 400mH

Hebron was a Neshaminy standout before she went on to compete at the University of Miami. She has been excellent there as well. In her freshman campaign she competed as part of the ACC Championship 4x400m team Indoors, and won the ACC Outdoor T&F Championship in the 400mH this outdoor season. She ran a blazing 56.08 to win the ACC title. She eventually finished 16th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
