Giacomo Lepore and Maddy Hedglin were named last week's PA MileSplit Athletes of the Week (9/27 - 10/2) following their standout performances.

Giacomo Lepore (North Catholic) ran away with the win at the Youthtowne Clash (9/30).
He ran a brilliant 15:49.84 to separate himself from Eden Christian's Nathan Garrett and win by five seconds.
He entered the Youthtowne clash with the goal and intention to break 16-minutes and he did just that. The win was also the first invitational win of his career.

Madison Hedglin (Dallas) earned the honors after winning the Paul Short White Race (9/30). Hedglin powered away from Lillian DiCola (Hatboro Horsham) in the late stages of her race and crossed the line in 18:26.90.
With her monumental win, she has established herself as a state contender in the 2A ranks.
Earlier this year she won the Cliff Robbins Memorial Invitational and finished second at the PIAA Foundation 2A Invitational.
