Kramer and Ogawa named Athletes of the Week (10/3 - 10/9)

Kamden Kramer and Amelia Ogawa were named last week's PA MileSplit Athletes of the Week (10/3 - 10/9) following their standout performances.

McDowell's Kamden Kramer earned the honors after his win at the Legends Meet on 10/7. Kramer ran a new personal best of 15:18.9 as he ran away from his competition and scored the nine second victory.

With the finish, Kramer led his team to a fourth place finish and McDowell finished as the top Pennsylvania team.

In the Pennsylvania rankings, Kramer currently ranks as the PA #5 and holds the fastest time amongst junior this year. He has a sure-fire route to the Pennsylvania State Championship, and there he will try to improve on his 11th place finish from last years. He could easily contend for a top five.

Amelia Ogawa (Lower Moreland) earned last week's honors after her win at the Gettysburg Invitational. Ogawa ran a 28-second personal best to cross the line in 18:31.30. That time ranks as the ninth quickest in meet history.

Lower Moreland was propelled to a second-place team finish, largely thanks to Ogawa's effort.

Ogawa finished 12th at last years PIAA XC Championship (2A), but she could be in the mix for a Top-5 finish this year. She is the sixth returner from last year's field and currently ranks third in 2A.
