The PIAA State Championships is the peak of high school XC in Pennsylvania every year with it being the end to most athletes season as they prepare for the indoor season to follow. We decided to compare the athletes who competed at States from 2024 to 2025 to see who improved the most. This years most improved athlete was Hannah Rachuba of Nazareth Academy taking an incredible 4:20 off her time from a year ago. 
Virginia Kraus posted the fastest time of the day running 17:48 for the AA crown which was 30 seconds faster than the time she posted from a year ago. This also capped her 4 peat of state titles as she has won the XC state title every year she has been in high school.
