2/15 - Dan Mazzocco joins the sub 9:00 group

Dan Mazzocco joined the growing legion of PA distance runners under 9:00 in the 3000, setting up what could be one of the best races at States in two weeks. His 8:55.0 brings the total to six under 9, with at least six more within five seconds. Footlocker Finalist Stephanie Madia, North Allegheny, continued her winter conditioning with a double win workout, going 2:28.0 in the 800, and 10:42.3 in the 3000. Canon McMillan's Justin Gavazzi won the boys' 800 in 1:59.8. Mt. Lebanon boys' 4x800 took first in 8:13.1. Valley's Micah Clemons won the 55 Hurdles in 8.5. In the field events, Waynesburg's Nathan Freedman took the Pole Vault, clearing 14-0. Kim Duschek, Bethel Park, cleared 1-6 in the girls' competition. Keri Durica, West Mifflin, won the Triple Jump with a leap of 36-03.75.
