GIRLS RESULTS

Penns Valley's Rebecca Bierly looks ready for a big senior season. She edominated the field at the Big valley Invitational on Saturday, winning by 26 seconds . Bierly was about a minute and a half faster than a year ago at this meet, where she took sixth.

The State College girls were very impressive in the win, and it looks like they have a new team member. Gabbi Bock, who ran for Albermarle in Virginia, was State College's top girl on Saturday, placing second in a time of 19:45. Catherine Curtin, also from State College, was third in 19:53. Cailin Saylor and Julia Neely were ninth and tenth respectively. State College lost some good talent from last year to graduation, but they look like they should still be a strong squad into 2016.

Forest Hills ran well to take second behind State College. Emily Montag was fourth and teammate Tricia Varner was sixth to lead the way for Forest Hills.

BOYS RESULTS

State College started out strong on Saturday with a big early season win. They scored 47 points for a big win to open up its season and repeat as champs at the Big Valley Invite.

Jersey Shore's Isaac Davis, posted a big results, winning in 15:54 to edge out State College's Nick Feffer. That's over a minute improvement for Davis, who was fifth in 17:07 last year at this meet. He ended up ninth in the state in AA last year. That's a huge start to the season for Davis. Feffer also saw a big drop in his time from this meet last year. It's a great start for Feffer as well. Camp Hill's Ian Gabig was third in 16:21.

After Feffer, State College looked strong. Sophomore Owen Isham was fourth, while senior Owen Wing was seventh. Thomas Branstetter PR'd to take 15th and freshman Ben St. Pierre was 19th.
