AA Boys' 4x800m Preview
Three teams in AA enter this weekend's state meet with 4x8 times under eight minutes this season, showing some very impressive mid-distance depth from these squads. Schuylkill Valley went 7:57.33 to win the Berks County title, edging out Wyomissing Area by just .03. Wyomissing then took down SV for the District 3 title this past week. If SV and Wyomissing bring 'A' teams to the table, we could see a yet another great battle for the win
But we won't forget about D4. District 4 saw an absolute battle for the title a Williamsport last week. it ended with Mifflinburg earning the win and that third sub-8 time of the season, going 7:58.64 for the victory. They're the top seed based on district performances. But Danville Area, Mount Carmel Area, Central Columbia, and Warrior Run all ran times under 8:10 and can't be counted out of the title conversation.
District 10 champs Reynolds will be strong. So will Elk County Catholic, which ran its best of 8:09 at Lock Haven earlier this season. Milton Area, Loyalsock Township, and North East could also be in the mix for medals here.
