AA Boys' 4x100m Relay Preview
A dropped baton in 2017 cost Dock Mennonite a shot at the state meet. But this squad, led by the speedy anchor Austin Kratz, will look to make amends this weekend at Ship. Dock comes in as the top seed to the AA 4x100. The relay ran 42.36, a AA best and overall PA#8 earlier this season.
Not far off Dock is Schuylkill Valley, which clocked a 42.38 earlier this season. Look for SV to be a factor in this race with crucial team points on the line. The defending champs from Hickory will also be in the mix. The District 10 champs went 43.37 to win at SRU this past week and will contend for the top spot. Last year, Hickory edged out Motivation for the state title. But this Motivation squad returns with a deep team of 100 meter runners that won the District 12 crown.
WPIAL champs Aliquippa took third last year and returns with a strong group as well. Brookville Area, Bishop McDevitt, Girard College, and North Schuylkill will also hope to make noise in the always-exciting 4x1.
