AAA Boys' 4x100m Relay Preview
This one's gonna be good! The AAA 4x100-meter relay should offer all the drama that makes the event one of the most exciting at the state meet .
The top seed is State College Area, which smoked a 41.66 to win the District 6 title. Coming in second in that race was Altoona Area. Both squads should be very serious threats for the win. State College is really hitting its stride at the right time.
Wilson has been impressive all season long. They've picked up some high profile wins and seemed primed to put together a big effort to contend for the state title.
Harry S. Truman has the state's fastest time of the season -- a 41.59 from the Penn Relays. The Tigers have a wealth of sprint depth and will be hard to take down. But Lower Merion did just that at the District 1 Championships, running 42.41 for the victory. The defending state champs from Coatesville return some key members from last year's team and should figure into the equation.
WPIAL champs West Mifflin will be in the mix, along with District 7 squads Gateway and Greater Latrobe. District 12 winners Roman Catholic and District 2 record holder James M. Coughlin will also be looking for the win in this open field.
