TFCAofGP Last Chance Meet
51 state qualifying guideline performances highlighted the TFCAofGP Last Chance Qualifier for next Saturday's Meet of Champions! The best of those marks came from the two Foot Locker Finalists from the fall. Jake Brophy of Central Bucks East and Casey Comber of Hatboro Horsham went head to head for the 2nd time in a week, this time in the mile. Like last week, Brophy (4:21.80) got the best of Comber (4:22.20), with the two running PA#2 and PA#3 times. Mason Weh of Upper Darby had a much better showing in the 60 meter hurdles than his last attempt back in December. The junior put himself in the PA#3 position with a solo time of 8.16. His teammate Donovan St Louis was victorious in the 400 meter dash (50.57) and finished 2nd in the 200 (22.72) behind Dan Chisena of Downingtown East (22.69). Reggie Harris of the Haverford School won the triple jump with a mark of 45-5. Central Bucks West ran 10:43.75 to win the distance medley relay and move up to PA#8. Jermichael Bunch of Wyoming Valley West jumped 22-4.50 to win the boys long jump. Joey Mundell of Schuylkill Valley threw a big 54-2 to win the shot put. For the girls, Unionville won the distance medley relay in a dominant 12:42.80. Boys Highlights

Millrose Games
A trio of 2nd place finishes highlighted the Pennsylvania portion of the Millrose Games in New York. Olivia Sargent of Pennsbury finished 2nd in the girls high school mile with a lifetime best, PA#2 and US#4 4:51.02! She ran virtually an even race after a 2:25 half mile split. The remaining 2nd place finishes came from the Cheltenham 4x200 meter relay teams. The boys may have lost their US#1 spot in their runner up finish, but they held onto the US#2 spot with their time of 1:28.37. Their female counterparts also finished 2nd in their race with a time of 1:41.29. Sam Ritz of Germantown Academy finished 6th in the boys high school mile with a time of 4:15.44. Ryan Wilkes of Valley View finished 5th in the pole vault with a clearance of 15-5. PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival R
The annual PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival had everything. It has top athletes, great races, big comebacks, crazy falls, fast times, and everything else you would want for a big invitational. Overall, the meet produced 184 PTFCA state guideline marks, a record for the event. The meet start with the much anticipated return of Sierra Brabhim-Lawrence of Harrisburg. The state champion in the 60 meter hurdles was able to get through all of her injury problems this season to take on the hurdles today and she put herself on the right track to defend her title. Brabhim-Lawrence ran 8.70 to win the hurdles over Markeeta Thomas of Paul Robeson (8.81) and Aspen Gaita of Stroudsburg (8.99). Gabrielle Wilkinson of Friends Central showed a glimpse of her ability that made her a star on the AAU circuit. The freshman pulled away in a big way in the latter stages of the 800 meter run to win in the fastest flat track time in the state, 2:15.40. She also split 2:16 in the 2nd leg of her team's 4x8 on their way to victory in 9:41.72. McKenna Keegan of Avon Grove was also a show stealer on the day, engaging in a close battle in the 400 meter dash with Ty'Asia Dansbury of Harrisburg. The outdoor state champion had to come from behind late, but managed to come through victorious with a time of 56.94. In one of the upsets of the meet, Maggic Toczko of Tunkhannock overcame some big names and win the 3000 meter run with a PA#4 10:14.14. Hannah Molloy of Pennsbury ran a PA#5 10:17.93 to finish 2nd. Emily Stauffer of Cocalico earned another victory in the shot put with a winning throw of 46-00.50. Harrisburg ran 1:44.72 to win the girls 4x2 ahead of Susquehanna Township, who did win the 4x4 in 4:05.79. Katy Alberici of Susquehanna Township jumped 18-3 to win the long jump. For the boys, Charles Snorweah of Pennsbury looked back to his best, taking home three gold medals on the day. He started with a 60 meter dash win in a PA#2 7.02. He followed that up with victory in the 200 meter dash in 22.59. Lastly, he showed his ability to snag victory from the jaws of defeat by making a huge comeback in the final leg of the 4x2 to lead his team to victory in 1:32.62. Eric Diestelow of West Chester East was also a master of come from behind victories on the day. First, he made a big move in the final lap of the mile run to come away with the win in 4:28.02. Later, Diestelow made another comeback in the final stages of the distance medley relay, leading his team to victory in 11:03.57. Charles Bowman, Jr. of Central Dauphin East moved back up to PA#2 in the 60 meter hurdles with a winning time of 8.11. Dominic Hockenbury of Lake Lehman earned himself a big advantage over his competition in the 3000 meter run, taking the victory in 8:51.00. SPIRE HS Showcase (MileSplit Live Webcast)
Jordan Geist of Knoch set another lifetime best in winning the shot put at the SPIRE Showcase. The sophomore won the event with a US#2 mark of 66-0.75 inches! Geist had three throws over 64 feet on the day in his series! Elias Graca of Fox Chapel became a major player in the boys 800 meter run thanks to a lifetime performance on the MileSplit national stage. Graca ran a PA#3 and US#4 1:53.13 to win the 800 meter run. It is a lifetime best by nearly a second from his outdoor 1:53.97 at districts last May. PA now has three of the top four 800 meter performances in the country! Other winners include Jocelen Ruth of Kutztown Area, who was victorious in the girls shot put with a mark of 43-4. Marianne Abdalah of Vincentian Academy won the girls 3200 meter run in 10:55.71. The Villa Maria Academy distance girls had a strong day. Grace Trucilla finished 3rd in the girls 800 meter run with a PA#3 2:14.50. TSTCA Indoor Meet #3
Alexis O'Shea of West Allegheny won the mile (5:15.95) and 800 meter runs (2:20.06). Lauren Gronbeck of Eden Christian Academy ran 10:19.79 to win the 3000 meter run. Canon-McMillan ran 1:46.70 to win the 4x200 meter relay. Mount Lebanon ran a PA#3 12:24.94 to win the distance medley relay. Maura Kimmel of Moniteau threw 41 feet even to win the shot put. For the boys, Kevin Garbark of West Mifflin won the 60 (7.09) and 200 meter dashes (22.83). Michael Strosko of Canon-McMillan ran 1:57.95 to win the 800 meter run. Will Loevner of Winchester Thurston won a tough 3000 meter contest with a time of 8:49.59 to edge out 8:50 runners Hunter Wharrey of North Allegheny and Todd Gunzenhauser of Mount Lebanon. Hayden Fox of Hempfield (7) set a personal best in the pole vault for the 3rd time this season, clearing 15-3 to win today. Isaiah Brooks of Woodland Hills jumped 22-11.50 to win the long jump. Youngstown State University HS Meet #4 Abby Jones of Franklin Area cleared 5-6 to win the girls high jump for the 2nd week in a row. Elena Marchand of Hickory threw 44-2.75 to win the shot put, leading her teammates in a 1-4 sweep! Penn Hills ran 4:10.91 to win the girls 4x400 meter relay. For the boys, Evan Blaire of Hickory finished 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 54-2.50. Teammate Austin Aikins threw 53-4.25 to finish 3rd. PCL Indoor Championships
Charles Headen of Lasalle was one of two double winners on the boys side while leading his team to the league championship. Headen won the 60 meter dash in a new state leading time of 6.94, and then he won the 200 meter dash in 23.25. The other double winner was Kevin James of Cardinal O'Hara, highlighted by a PA#2 4:21.16 to win the mile and a 1:58.23 performance in the 800. For the girls, Ariana Ruffin of Neumann Goretti won the 200 (26.26) and 400 meter dashes (59.13). The Neumann Goretti 4x2 ran a strong 1:45.78 to win the opening event of the meet. Sarah Hayes of Cardinal O'Hara ran 10:55.57 to win the 3000 meter run and lead the team to a narrow team title victory over Archbishop Ryan. Girls Highlights
