February 18 - 24, 2008

Monday – February 18, 2008
Training: 40 minutes
Supplements: foot exercises, stretching
Details: Patience, patience… I feel like I've been saying that for 2 years now! I knew taking 8 weeks off of running wouldn't feel good…but I didn't think it would feel this BAD!

Tuesday – February 19, 2008
Training: 45 minutes
Supplements: core strength
Details: Ran on sort of a hilly course today, ouchy!

Wednesday – February 20, 2008
Training: 42 minutes
Supplements: foot exercises
Details: The feet exercises are KILLER, but all the pros (uumm, the two distance pros that live in Switzerland haha) tell me that it is one of THE most important things to do if I want to become a marathoner.

Thursday – February 21, 2008

Training: 45 minutes
Supplements: core strength
Details: I'm doing pretty well with my supplements so far! Yay me.

Friday – February 22, 2008
Training: 50 minutes
Supplements: some ABCs…gotta' start those up too…
Details: I've been kind of nervous about starting up ABCs too early because of my foot, but I guess I have to start sometime…

Saturday – February 23, 2008
Training: 55 minutes
Supplements: Sprinted around to cheer for my boyfriend at Military World Champs…does that count???

Sunday – February 24, 2008
Training: 50 minutes
Supplements: sat on my butt….that doesn't count *smirk*
Details: I was kind of tired today because I have TONS of work to do so I took an "easy" day as far as supplements go. I had to watch at least one TV show so I wouldn't go insane (since my brain was about to explode!)

So…What is it you want???
When deciding on doing something, you have to decide if you actually WANT it… I questioned my desires for this sport last semester when I was so LOADED with work that training became a "must" instead of a privilege. In the end though, my heart won out and I decided to stay on the path I was on…well, not the exact path because I had kind of gotten off my MAIN path onto some smaller one where the sight towards my goals were all covered by trees and ivy and whatever else… I think it is sometimes difficult to focus on one big goal because, like right now, it seems that I am so out of shape that reaching it seems so far away….almost unreachable. So whenever you set one bigger goal, I find it important to build steps along the way in order to help you reach that goal…..the steps make reaching the goal somehow more "doable…"even if it's just mentally! I know I am rambling a bit, but this is just me thinking out loud. J
