Back in the US, Abbe Goldstein looks for more postseason success

Germantown Academy's Abbe Goldstein seemed primed for a big junior season outdoors after a huge 9:33 3000 meters at the Penn Relays at the end of April. But instead, Goldstein went to Europe for the month of May for a study abroad program in Spain. She returned for the John Hay meet at Henderson a few weeks back and showed that her fitness was still on point, running a PR of 4:50 in the mile. This weekend at NBNO, she'll contest both the mile and 2 mile.
Joining Goldstein in the mile will be PIAA 1600 meter state champion and PA#1 Mady Clahane. Clahane (Cumberland Valley) won her first state title in a blazing 4:46.25 and the senior has decided she's not done. Clahane mentioned the time of 4:45 as a goal after her states win. Both Clahane and Goldstein will look for PRs in a loaded mile field.
