Breaking It Down: Week 6 Recap

Susquehanna River Hawk Invitational - Meet Recap

Saturday was another mythic day in the career of Marlee Starliper. The Northern junior, only a few weeks back in training mode after her now-US#2 mile, had a very strong double at Susquehanna. Starliper went 2:15.06 in the 800 meters, a PA#2 and US#11 time to start off the day.

Then she came back to win the 3000 meters in 9:55.39. That's a PA#2 and US#9 time off a double with minimal rest in between, and just .04 off Jenna Mulhern's PA#1 in the 3K.

Greenwood's Mallory Kauffman continued her strong season with another big throw in the shot put. She took the win with a heave of 45-0, just off her own PA#2/US#3 season best.

It was another big day, too, for Ezra Mellinger of Lampeter Strasburg. The senior won the long jump with a huge leap of 23-8.5, a PA#1 and US#3. That's also an all-conditions best for the Duke-bound jumper. He added a win in the 60 meter dash in 7.01.

Mitchell Rome of Dallas won the 3K in a PA#7 time of 9:02.30.
