Yale Track Classic - Meet Recap

Jenna Mulhern of West Chester Henderson started her high school track career off in a big way in Connecticut. The ninth grader won the 3,000 meters in 9:55, the top time in the state. In the same race, Allyson Clarke of West Chester East went 10:16.86 for eighth overall in a strong field. Clarke moves to PA#7 in the 3K.

The WC East girls went 12:33.28 to win their section of the DMR. That time was good enough for a PA#4. WC Henderson took seventh in the Championship section of the DMR, running a PA#6 time of 12:55.29.

It was also a big day for West Chester East boys in the DMR. East ran a PA#1 time of 10:40.50 to win their section of the relay, a very strong performance. Twin Valley (PA#4 10:42.82) also turned in a strong DMR.

PA saw three sub-9 performances in the 3K. Jenkintown's Jack Miller ran 8:53.33 to take 12th overall in the Championship section and move to PA#2 on the season. Andrew Healey of Holy Cross was 14th overall in the Championship section, running a PA#3 time of 8:54.93. Payton Sewall of Downingtown West (19th) ran a PA#5 time of 8:57.41.

In the mile, Joshua Lewin of West Chester East won his section and took fifth overall in the Championship boys race. He went 4:24.31, a PA#2 time.

WC East's Charlie Webb went 7.85 in the semis of the 55-meter hurdles, a PA#4. He then took fourth in the finals in 7.87.
