Running 15:56 in his season opener, Aidan McHugh led a contingent of Episcopal Academy boys to victory at the George School Invitational. McHugh's finish was instrumental in the squad's success and catapulted his team to No. 3 in the PA MileSplit Power Rankings.
To make matters better, the time marked a minute-plus personal best. Previously, McHugh had never broken 17, so it looks like he skipped over the 16's altogether. His development is a great story line.
Similarly, Woehlcke scored an incredible victory on the same course at the George School Invitational. Woehlcke put a 30-second gap between her and the next finisher as she powered her way to an 18:22.
Woehlcke's time is currently a PA #8 and the 75th ranked time amongst juniors nationally. She is currently undefeated on the season, with five straight victories.
