Griffith ran an incredible 14:49 to win the Carlisle Invitational last weekend. He out-ran his next competitor by over 30 seconds, set a PA #1, a US #12 and set the second fastest time in course history in the run.
It was a breakout effort in an otherwise quiet campaign for Griffith, and he made it readily apparent that he will be difficult to beat throughout the rest of the year.
Natalie McLean, won the 3A race at the PIAA Foundation Invitational in style. She put in a strong move with just over 400 meters to go, to out-gut a field of 3A talent and take home the individual title.
In doing so she ran the fastest time of the day, an 18:25, and cemented herself as an individual favorite come November.
