As we enter the final weeks of the season, we thought it would be helpful to generate a Team Power Ranking Index based on current state rankings. Please note that these rankings do not include conversions from similarly distanced events and only include races that will be run at PTFCA.
How were these scores determined?
Essentially we took current individual and relay rankings and put all scoring teams/individuals in a meet with eachother. At a championship event, a first place finish (or ranking) would be worth 10 points. So for example, JaNaisa Dearry is currently ranked second in the 400m, earning 8-points for Chester.
This week's changes - North Allegheny jumped from sixth to third after the team posted a state leading, 12:16.22 Distance Medley Relay. Mount Saint Joseph Academy also made some headway by posting the second fastest DMR of the year, a 12:24.85 at the PTFCA Indoor Track Carnival.
