Boys' Blue (AA) Race Preview - PIAA Foundation Invitational
Race Time: 12:00 P.M.
District 10 Class AA is loaded with talent on the boys' side, and Saturday will present the first matchup between the "Big 3" in D10-AA, North East's Josh Lewis, Grove City Area's Jonah Powell, and General McLane's Nate Price.
Lewis has won three races in three weeks, most recently in the D2 race at Boardman in Ohio. Powell was fifth in the stacked D1 race at Boardman. Price started his season off with a win in 15:35 at Lock Haven. These three figure to be the best bets in not only D10-AA, but also AA as a whole and Saturday will be a big test for each.
But the field is loaded after those three. Juniata's Garrett Baublitz (PA#17), Greensburg Salem's Mark Brown and Cameron Binda, York Suburban's Cole Adams and Jarrett Raudensky, Dallas' Mitchell Rome, General McLane's Erik Andrzejewski, Blackhawk's Jack Aulbach, and North Shore (NY)'s Jack Rosencrans are among the other big names that could drop fast times at Hershey.
The team race will also provide some insight into the top AA teams in the state. Grove City Area comes in as the team to beat, but Greensburg Salem will provide a strong challenge. Each team has some good front-running and solid depth. General McLane, York Suburban, North East, and Holy Redeemer will also mix it up for high team finishes.
