Boys' Blue Race Recap - PIAA Foundation Invitational

A bunch of the heavy hitters in AA came out for Foundation this season. In the end, Josh Lewis claimed his fourth victory in four weeks. The North East senior went 16:10, pulling away in the last mile to take the Blue Race win. Lewis out-dueled his District 10 rival Jonah Powell of Grove City Area for the win. Powell hung on for second in 16:25.

The Grove City Area boys put the rest of the state on notice, taking home the team title with 86 points to narrowly defeat Greensburg Salem, which had 90 points. After Powell, Tobias Jones and Joseph Somora also placed in the top 20. GCA was without Luke Owrey, its usual No. 2 runner. Greensburg Salem had three boys in the top 13, led by Mark Brown's sixth place finish in 16:43. York Suburban, behind a sub-minute 1-5 gap was third with 120 points, and General McLane took fourth with 163 points.

Garrett Baublitz of Juniata turned in a strong race, taking third in 16:26, while General McLane took the next two spots with Nate Price taking fourth in 16:36 and Dylan Throop placing fifth in 16:40.
