NEPA Invitational - Meet Recap

After a pair of impressive runner-up finishes, Cori McCormick of North Schuylkill nabbed her first invitational win of the season at the NEPA Invite. McCormick out-dueled Warrior Run's Lauren Trapani for the win in 18:32, her fastest time of the season. Trapani went 18:43 for a strong second on the Bloomsburg University course.

Warrior Run took home the team title with 72 points, led by Trapani's second place finish. Emma Miller provided a strong third place finish for Warrior Run. Lewisburg was impressive once again, placing second with 101 points, while Holy Redeemer was third with 126 points.

In the boys' race, Williamsport Area's J. Henry Lyon went 16:22 for the win, his first win of the year after strong races at Lock Haven and Penn State. Wyalusing Valley took the next two spots with its dynamic duo of Kemuel Laudermilch and Alex Patton. Laudermilch went 16:37 for second and Patton was right behind him in 16:39 for third.

Wyalusing Valley Area continued its solid season, taking the team win over a AA and AAA-heavy field. WVA, a 1A school, scored 102 points. Williamsport took second with 131 points and Danville Area was third with 148 points.
