Each team ran together -- separate from other teams -- on a time schedule, spread out by 30 minutes and the results were combined at the end.
Kiski Area freshman Eliza Miller impressed in her high school invite debut, running the fastest time of the day by a big margin with a 19:24. She was one of just two girls to break 20 minutes at Northmoreland Park on Saturday. Uniontown's Hope Trimmer was second in 19:57 and Greensburg Central Catholic's Corinn Brewer was third in 20:08.
Joel Beckwith of Indiana Area was the top boys finisher, clocking a time of 16:43. He was the lone boy in the field to run under 17 minutes on the day.
Fox Chapel swept the team titles, winning the boys' race with 40 points and the girls' race with 78 points. FC's Jack Lorence led the way with a second place overall finish for the boys. The FC girls were led by a pair of freshman -- Laura Carter and Clara Kelly -- who were fourth and fifth, respectively.
