This Week's Candidates:

(Listed in Random Order)

Virginia Kraus (Moravian) - Won her second meet of the year with a PA No. 1 17:55 at the Northampton Cross Country Invitational. Kraus established an early lead, running 5:20 over the first mile. Kraus kept the gas pedal down as she became the first girl to break 18 this season in Pennsylvania.

Lana Hurwitz (Parkland) - In her first race for Parkland XC, Hurwitz ran an impressive 18:23 to place second at the Northampton Cross Country Invitational. She catapulted herself as the team's lead runner and helped the team place fourth overall.

Wren Kucler (North Allegheny) - Won the Mingo Scrimmage with an 18:34. At that point in the week, she had set a PA #1. Impressively, she did it by herself, finishing about 50-seconds ahead of the next finisher.

Ella Woehlcke (Mount Saint Joseph) - Ella Woehlcke dominated the Lansdale Invitational to set a PA Top-5 time. Woehlcke led wire to wire, inserting a steady pace early. She eventually won by over two minutes with her 18:35

Logan St. John Kletter (Mount Lebanon) - Won the Marty Uher Vulcan Invitational Steel Race with a 19:14. Despite the difficulty of the course, St. John Kletter was undeterred and out dueled Natalie McLean of Pine-Richland for the victory.
