Track and field phenom, Elizabeth Tapper, is back for the 2023 Indoor season. The University of Michigan commit finished second in the Shot Put last year, behind Emma Callahan. Callahan has since departed for Iowa State, leaving the door wide open for Tapper to stake her claim to the top.

Tapper also finished seventh in the Pole Vault in Indoors before winning the outdoor 3A Shot Put Championship, the outdoor 3A Discus Championship, and placing 10th in the Pole Vault.

Alexa Brown, who finished third at the PTFCA Indoor Championship in 2022,  placed runner-up to Tapper at the PIAA Championships last spring. With an Outdoor personal best of 44' 5.5", she has the ability to hang with Tapper. Don't count out the Strath Haven senior on the road to States.
