The outdoor season has just begun, and impressive performances have already occurred. We're breaking down the top-ranked individuals in the 1600m run.

Boys:

After a successful indoor season, Brian DiCola (Hatboro Horsham) wastes no time posting a blistering PA and US No.1 time of 4:06.58 at the Jim Kelly Invitational. The most impressive part of this performance is that DiCola ran this effort solo, winning the race by over 24 seconds. To no surprise, DiCola proves early on to be a contender for a PIAA state title in the event.

PTFCA Indoor State Championship by Cindie Lytle

Michael Woolery (Episcopal Academy) sits at PA No.2 with a 4:20.31, taking the win at the Rustin Invitational. Woolery also comes from an impressive indoor season and currently ranks as the top PAISAA athlete in the 1600m run.
