Boardman Spartan Invitational (OH) - Meet Preview
A number of western Pennsylvania's top teams will head west to Boardman, Ohio, for the Spartan Invitational, one of Ohio's largest XC meets. WPIAL rivals North Allegheny and Mount Lebanon will be joined by Pine-Richland in the Division I races to open the day, with two-time defending Ohio state champ Hudson and two other top 10 Ohio teams in the boys' field and two top 10 girls' teams entered.
In Division III, Marion Center, North East and Wilmington are scheduled to lead a five-team PA contingent against the No. 1 Ohio boys' team and six of the top 20 girls' teams. And in Division II, No. 3 Grove City and three other boys' teams face probably the toughest challenge in defending Ohio champ and traditional power Woodridge and two other top 10 teams. In the girls' DII race, five ranked Ohio teams are entered.
