12th GL Wildcat and 23rd HA Lady Spartan Invitationals By Phil Grove Blazing sprints, big throws and jumps and a couple of fast middle distance runs just for fun highlighted this year’s combined invitational. Montae Nicholson of Gateway is making up for a limited schedule during the 2014 indoor season by performing in overdrive outdoors, with two individual PA#1s and a leg on a state-leading relay Saturday. He also defeated teammate Cameron Gray in the 100 dash (11.16 to 11.21) before they worked together on a 42.59 clocking in the 4x100 relay that won by almost 2.4 seconds and is PA#1.
