AA Girls' 4x800m Preview
The AA 4x8 will feature the nation's fastest quartet from Neumann Goretti. The Saints dropped an 8:57.09 at the Penn Relays, a time that stands at US#1. Neumann Goretti will look to cap off its season with a state title in the event, and catching this team will be a tall order for the rest of the field.
With a wealth of middle distance talent, Neumann Goretti is the team to beat here.
In a strong District 4, Mount Carmel Area came out on top and will come in as the top seed, based on district performances. MCA ran 9:34 beat out Lewisburg Area (9:38) and Mifflinburg (9:42). Danville placed fourth in that race. All four teams will bring in squads capable of a high finish on that podium.
The two-time defending champs, Central Cambria are back once again this season. The Red Devils have another strong team that ran 9:39 to win the District 6 title. Once again, they'll be up near the front. Shady Side Academy, Saint Joseph's Catholic, and Lake Lehman will also be on the hunt for medals on Saturday.
