A quick look at the Top 50 returning boys from the 2022 outdoor track season in the sprint and hurdling events. Events include: 100m, 200m, 400m, 110H, 300H, and 400H.
Of these rankings and in these events, Ethan Black is the only returning state champ from the 2022 season. Black won the 2A State Championship in both the 100m and 200m races, and ranks third and second respectively in these rankings. Though please note - these rankings do include both 3A and 2A athletes.
To our knowledge, Black hasn't races at an invitational since his double victory at states - but we can expect him to pick up where he left off in 2023.
Evan McCracken will certainly be another to watch. He won the PTFCA State Championship in the 60m dash this indoor season. He ranks eighteenth amongst returner rankings in the 100m, but we can expect him to climb into the top-8.
Jackson Clarke has been explosive throughout the indoor campaign and will certainly be a contender in the 100m and 200m events.
