Bedford's Chloe May has been making a name for herself early in the season. May won the Big Valley Invitational earlier this year, running 18:44. She then ran 19:38 at the Altoona Mt Lion Invitational to finish second.
Ironically, she finished second to a fellow freshman, Emily Fisher. Fisher of Somerset opened the year with a 19:37 at the P3R River Trail Invitational. She finished second there before winning the Altoona Mt Lion Invitational two weeks later. She currently ranks No. 5 amongst Freshmen PRs.
Neila Granger (Dallastown) ranks second on the list. You might recognize her last name. Her older sister, Kailey Granger, was a standout for Dallastown last year and won the District 3 Championship before finishing fifth at states. Could Neila Granger follow in her footsteps?
