Commodore Perry Invitational - Meet Recap
Cochranton's Noah Bernarding scored his first invitational victory of the season after a pair of fourths the two previous weekends. The senior was timed in 17:23 to the 17:27 for Cranberry sophomore Matt Woolcock. Troy Hart of Reynolds was third in 17:32, while Cathedral Prep's Devan Bailey (17:33) and Kody Klein (17:45) rounded out the top five. Cathedral Prep was the team champion, posting 54 points to 90 for Cranberry and 120 for Cambridge Springs.
Juniors Maddison Hayes of Fairview and Meaera Shannon of Conneaut battled for top honors in another invitational, and the result matched their first meeting in the Hornet Harrier Invitational. Hayes hit the line first in 19:32, while Shannon crossed in 19:36. Halle Myers of Fairview was third in 20:34, while Madeline Curtis of Harbor Creek was next in 20:45. The team standings could not have been closer as Lakeview came out on top with 113 points to 114 each for Fairview and Harbor Creek, with the Tigers winning the tiebreaker.
