Altoona Mt. Lion Invitational - Meet Recap

In the boys race, Northern Bedford's Ian Zimmerman posted an impressive performance to take the win in a big PR of 16:37. Mifflin County took the next two spots with Chayce Macknair in second, followed closely by Brayden Harris in third. Mifflin easily took the team title with 48 points.

Saint Marys Area's Samantha Hayes captured the win in the girls' race, running 20:38 to beat out second place Lauren Shaffer of Portage Area (20:43) and third place Tesslyn Helms of Oakland Catholic (20:43). Forest Hills won the team race with 65 points, edging out Saint Marys Area by two points.


Bradford Invitational - Meet Recap

GIRLS: Evelyn Lerch of Clarion Area made her high school XC debut a successful one. The ninth grader went 20:32 to run to the individual win. Taking second was Villa Maria's Leah Prischak. Villa Maria had three in the top six and captured the team title with 29 points.

BOYS: Ben Hoffman of Elk County Catholic took home the win for a second straight season at Bradford. The junior clocked a time of 16:57, the only boy under 17 to earn the victory. Smethport Area took the next two spots with Darion Gregory placing second and Christian Tanner taking third. Elk County Catholic won the team race with 53 points, 20 ahead of second place Clarion Area.


Bulldog (Rose Tree) Invitational - Meet Recap

BOYS: Garrett Campbell ran to the individual win, leading his Methacton squad to the team win, too, at Rose Tree on Saturday. Campbell won in 17:11, beating out second place Ethan Zeh of Radnor. Methacton scored 68 points for the win. Perkiomen Valley was second with 95 points.

GIRLS: Christine Mancini of Cardinal O'Hara picked up her first career XC win, running 20:50 to take the girls' race. Avon Grove's Lauren O'Neil took second in 21:08, leading her squad to the team win with 58 points. Perkiomen Valley was second with 88 points.


Commodore Perry Invitational - Meet Recap

BOYS: Led by a 1-2 finish, the Harbor Creek boys rolled to the team win in Hadley on Saturday. Ryan Starvaggi posted a strong performance, taking the win in 16:19 winning Commodore Perry for the second straight season. His teammate Aiden Weber was second, also running well, finishing in 16:46. Harbor Creek scored 74 points for the win, while Cochranton was second with 105 points.

GIRLS: Defending meet champion Gianna Labbiento of Sharon was competing in Ohio, so the door was open for a new Commodore Perry champ. Meaera Shannon of Conneaut Area seized the opportunity, racing to the win in 19:27, a dominating effort almost 40 seconds ahead of second place.

Fairview won its second meet of the season, scoring 75 points for the top spot, 15 ahead of second place Lakeview.


Harrier Invitational - Meet Recap

Owen J. Roberts put forth a dominating team effort on both the girls and boys sides at Pottstown on Saturday. In the two mile race, broken up by where you stand on your team (1st runner and 2nd runner in one race, 3rd and 4th runner in another race, and fifth, sixth, and seventh runners in another), OJR took the top two spots in each race to score the minimum seven points.

Linus Blatz of OJR ran the fastest boys time of the meet at 10:40, while Hannah Kopec's 12:45 was the top girls time of the day.


McDaniel-Baxter Invitational - Meet Recap

In a 4K meet in New York, the Montrose boys looked strong. Liam Mead took second in14:02 and the team placed second overall in the team standings, just two points off the winners Owego.

On the girls' side, Montrose placed fourth led by Georgia Smith and Hannah Perkins, who came across sixth and seventh, respectively.
