George School Invitational - Meet Recap

GIRLS: In a big early season matchup, some of the top names in the PAISAA went up against each other. The reigning PAISAA champ, Emma Zwall of Penn Charter took home the individual win, going 18:45 and pulling away early to win in 18:45. PC scored 72 points to take the team title as well. Upper Dublin was second with 102 points.

Germantown Academy's Isabelle Goldstein took second in 18:57, running a strong second half of her race. Friends' Central took the next three spots with Lydia Russell (19:01), Micah Trusty (19:29), Rebecca Wusinich (19:32).


BOYS: Jeffrey Love of the George School repeated as champ as his home invite. The senior won in 16:22, 11 seconds faster than his winning effort from the previous season. Love took the lead before the mile and strung out the field from there.

Germantown Academy's Robert Didonato made a big XC debut. The sophomore went 16:28 to take second in just his first career XC invite. Malvern Prep took the next two spots with Zachary Brill take third in 16:46 and Collin Hess placing fourth in 16:55.

Lenape Reg. (NJ) won the team title with 65 points, while Germantown Friends was second with 96 points and Phoenixville Area was third with 122 points.
