The treadmill was hooked up to a computer that ran the test so it would calculate exactly 2000 meters. (It calculates your pace per k and then just has you run 2,000 meters.) Also, the treadmill picks up your heart rate and then the computer takes data from that every 5 seconds and gives the average heart rate per minute. The computer does it all except take the blood (which Fritz does).
I find myself worrying about whether or not I am training correctly, whether or not I am ready for my first qualifying race on the 21st
Like my brother, I also believe it is important to work on the variables under your own control!
Someone told me that it dates back really far and it started to scare the ghosts out of the town for the new year!
Although I have the big picture in mind, the small steps to get to my final goal are important.
I keep raising the topic of transition because so many things changed for me as soon as I graduated from college and then moved over here...
I decided to go explore some trails today since I have basically been running the same routes since I\'ve been here!
I have always enjoyed running, but I feel like moving over here to Switzerland has kind of renewed my passion for this thing, this distance running thing.
A really funny person in college, before my races would say, \"Josi... \"Boawwlss to the Woawwllls!\"
After tomorrow, I will know more about exactly what races I am running, what times I have to run to qualify for the official National Team etc
So the news I have been waiting for stood in my e mail account this morning, but the results were as I expected
First snow today!!! Brrr, where is my cuddle buddy when I need him? I leave for Paris tomorrow! Wish me luck!
If we think negative thoughts and react negatively to events that happen, it causes a chain reaction of negativity.
\"Your running will come together...it is just going to take time, Europe is no joke when it comes to running but you were prepared well by running in the NCAA, you have to remember (and I know you do) that it will take a year or two before you start making a huge leap...\"
The other day one of my friends came up and asked, out of nowhere, what I would do if I found out I was going to die in 5 years
There were a few moments in my life when I realized what is truly most important to me
I wasn\'t going to tell this story, but I figured I would because it is just too funny not to share!
Oh man, I thought Fritz was rough when he\'s on the bike and pushing us
I got homesick the other day so I am telling you all I love and miss you!!!!
The Forest never ended and I loved it
