Sophomores form the building blocks for teams. As they move through that tenth-grade year, they develop leadership characteristics and athletic abilities that will shape them into the leaders of tomorrow. The sophomore year provides the first look at an athlete's role in a program.

Take for example, Wren Kucler. Kucler has stepped into big shoes this season and filled the role of top-runner on her team. Kucler has won two meets this year and added a second-place finish at Red, White, and Blue, where she also happened to set her fastest time of the season. Kucler ran 17:54, which stands as PA #2 and ranks #19 nationally amongst other sophomores.
