Back on September 14th, we ranked this freshmen class for the first time. At the time, five freshmen had broken 19-minutes at the time, and only 13 had broke 20-minutes. Since then, those numbers have grown to 12 and 49 respectively.
But one consistency has remained true, Virginia Kraus remains is a staple at the Top of these freshmen rankings. At the Paul Short Run, she improved on her previous season best, running three seconds faster. Then she won the District 11 title, before heading to States and grabbing the State Championship there. She concluded the season ranked 11th amongst all classes.
Eliana Schneider also ran a season best at the Paul Short Run, running 18:13 to finish in 14th. She went on to finish fourth in the Lancaster Lebanon League Finals, and 17th at the 3A District 3 Championships.
