Progression is a beautiful thing. Of the Top 500 Sophomores, 390 competed in Cross Country last year (2021). Of those 390, 384 improved year-over-year.

Let's just repeat that. 384 improved year-over-year. It almost seems like an impossible statistic that 98.5% of this cohort improved. 252 of which, improved by over a minute. 

This sophomore class is the epitome of improvement, and it's a welcoming site that so many of these athletes competed in High School Cross Country for the first time this season.

Atop the list was Kamden Kramer. Kramer kicked off his season with a quick 15:43 and ran in the 15:40s again at the Legends Meet. He then put together a stellar championship season run. He won the Northwest PA Invitational and the District 10 (sub-regional) Championship back to back. That's where he picked up his 15:40. At the PIAA 3A Championship, Kramer finished in 11th, and as the second highest Sophomore.
