At the start of the year, 16 girls have broke 19-minutes and two have broke 18. Though athletes from across the state have run on a range of different courses and terrains, objective rankings provide of us a first look at the boys and girls who are running fast early.
The two under 18-minutes are Virginia Kraus and Wren Kucler. Kraus started her season on a high note by winning the Lions Invitational before unleashing a quick 17:42.10 to win the Northampton Invitational. She currently ranks 23rd in the Nation with that time.

Wren Kucler and Robin Kucler went 1-2 at the Mingo Scrimmage. They worked together through the early parts of the race before separating themselves from the pack and running PA No. 2 and No. 3 times respectively.
