Above: Hear from the Mazzeo Twins after their 1-2 at the CAL Championship

- - -

Nicholas and Alexander Mazzeo lead a robust group of sophomores in the individual rankings. They most recently went 1-2 at the Central League Championship, leading their team to the title. The Mazzeos look like experts, despite this being their first cross country season in the high school ranks. With more time to develop, they could provide a nasty 1-2 punch for Lower Merion at the State level.

Justin Landis lands at third on the list. He returned to the line-up for North Penn at the Manhattan XC Invitational this past weekend, and he ran a stellar 2.5 mile race to finish inside the Top-10. He still holds a season best of 15:47 from the early parts of the year.

William Edgar and Kendel Jones round out the Top Five as the only other sophomores who have broken 16-minutes thus far.
